Our Story
Christmas Crusade for Children, a 501(3)(c) nonprofit, unites first responders, local businesses, and caring Coloradans to make sure no child is forgotten during the holidays. Partnering with over 30 first responder agencies, including local police, sheriff’s departments, fire, and emergency medical services, first responders connect directly with families facing hardship to learn each child's specific needs and holiday wishes. Together, we’ve brightened the lives of over 200,000 children, turning community support into unforgettable holiday memories.

How It Works
Step One
Nominations
Throughout the year, first responders identify families and children who may need assistance during the holiday season. Often, these nominations are the result of their day-to-day interactions during a shift. Nominations are submitted to CC4C personnel.
Step Two
Sponsors
In mid-November, the CC4C HQ opens for business. KYGO airs info for nominated kids, who are then sponsored by companies and individuals throughout the metro area. Sponsors are provided "wish lists" for kids and after shopping, gifts are dropped off at HQ.
Step Three
Shopping Day
Every December, a caravan of local first responders rolls out to Walmart for our annual CC4C shopping day. With personal wish lists in hand, first responders shop for all unsponsored children so every child experiences the joy of Christmas.
Step Four
Delivery Day
In the days leading up to Christmas, local first responders act as Santa's helpers, delivering holiday gifts to children across the Denver metro area. To make the season even brighter, several departments host festive parties for nominated children and their families.
